About My Practice

I’m a CA Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist offering in-person sessions in San Diego, CA and virtual therapy sessions for clients in California.

Many of clients I work with are: Women dealing with reproductive-related mood concerns from family planning to peri/menopause, Couples looking to deepen their connection or heal from relationship injuries, and Individuals or Couples navigating difficult life transitions or seasons of life.

I’m so glad you’re here. It takes courage to reach out for help and begin the process.

As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, it is my honor to walk alongside clients as they move towards meaningful change in their lives. We’ll work together to create a path for healing that works for you and continue to check in about it all along the way. I work hard to ensure that my practice is an inclusive and safe place for you to land and collaborate with you to ensure that we move at a pace that works.

In my work with clients, I use an integrated approach to help you connect mind, body and spirit. Relationship with self, significant others, and community are at the heart of my practice. My therapeutic approach is integrated and strongly influenced by my training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for both individuals and couples, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Mindfulness. I am a Certified Perinatal
Mental Health provider from Postpartum Support International and have specialized training to support individuals or couples in the perinatal period as well as those dealing with reproductive loss with training from the Institute of Reproductive Grief Care. In addition to those mentioned, other areas and topics of training I continue to pursue include CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), IFS (Internal Family Systems), Nature-based interventions, Postpartum Rage, Intimacy/Desire Discrepancy, and Peri/Menopause. The field of psychology and ways in witch therapists can support clients is always broadening and I love to continue to expand my knowledge to better support my clients.

A bit about me

I completed my undergraduate education with a B.S. in Psychology and Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University and my M.A. in Counseling Psychology at National University. Prior to pursuing a career as a therapist, I worked in software + web development as a project manager and got a taste of corporate life where I realized I loved the relational components of my work with clients most.

When I am not seeing clients, you can find me exploring outdoors, wandering a farmers market with a coffee in hand, or on the sidelines of a youth sports event, cheering on my kids. I am married to the love of my life and we are always striving to keep our marriage a safe place to grow and be adventurous. I have three active children and a labradoodle that I love being “Mama” to. Having been raised in Chicago, the city will always hold a special place in my heart and I am so grateful to have built our home and community in San Diego.
